The Volstead House Museum is open on Friday 2:30 – 5, Saturday 11-4 and Sunday 1-4 .
Admission is free for ages 16 and under and Granite Falls Historical Society members, $5 for adults.

February 10, 2-4 PM , Andrew Volstead Home -“Launch Party – 100th Anniversary of Prohibition. Join the Granite Falls Heritage Partnership committee for a presentation and discussion about our plans to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Prohibition. Refreshments will be served, everyone welcome.
April 7, National Beer Day – Celebrate the day that ended Prohibition in 1933. Special tours of the museum followed by a visit to Bluenose Gopher Public House for a beer special.
June 22, 2-4 PM – Open house after the Western Fest Grand Parade.
June 29 – Volstead Day. This will be the 40th anniversary of the State of Minnesota’s declaration of Volstead Day in 1979. The first performance of the “Prohibition Musical.” “Prohibited Acts” exhibit at the K.K. Berge Gallery and more throughout Granite Falls.
October 28, 100th Anniversary of the Volstead Act – events to be announced.
December 5, Repeal Day. Celebrate the complete end of Prohibition that began on April 7. Tour his home then drink a toast to Andrew Volstead at one of our participating locations.
January 17, 2020 – 100 Year Anniversary of the start of Prohibition.
